Dronaids BandageTM is a haemostatic bandage dressing, intended for use to stop bleeding until medical help is provided. Due to its unique properties, the Bandage stops moderate to severe bleeding within 15 – 120 seconds.

Dronaids BandageTM is an activated carbon, sterile, single use, non-absorbable dressing and easy to use. Dronaids BandageTMs are sterilised by gamma irradiation and packed individually to keep it sterile.

The Bandages are produced from virtually pure carbon microfiber at high temperatures. It is a sterile bandage dressing with purified activated carbon in the form of micro-filaments, featuring an increased absorbability due to the induced diffusion.

Apart from stopping bleeding, Dronaids BandageTM can also be applied in cases of Burns, Blisters, foot injuries, Ulcers, Rashes, bacterial infections. It can also be used as air and water filters during crisis.

To stop surface bleeding : It is recommended to place the dry bandage with the carbon layer on the wound and press it gently for 15 – 120 seconds. Once the bleeding stops, the bandage can be removed and the wound is further treated in regular manner.

Wound care : You may clean the wound or defect as appropriate. Then, Bandage with black carbon side can be gently placed over the affected area, covering the complete area.

Before placing the bandage on the wound, the bandage is completely saturated with a physiological solution in all its layers (or by a boiled-over tepid water) and applied with the black sorbent to the surface of the wound or defect, so that the surface comes in close contact with the wound, in totality for quicker recovery.

This is followed by secondary dressing. Secondary dressing is recommended so that Dronaids BandageTM can be held at affected area for faster recovery.

Always wet the bandage very well, before removing it. You may use saline or normal water to make it wet. This makes the removal process easy and most comfortable for the patient.

The recommended frequency of change of dressing depends entirely upon the nature and condition of the wound. Very heavily exuding or infected wounds may require replacement of bandage every 6 Hrs, initially. As and when the wound becomes better and cleaner, Dronaids BandageTM can be left infact for even upto two days.
